The sun comes out and the Meadows are busy.

Now to await the cherry blossoms blooming along these avenues in the near future, always a delight and wonder each spring.

Our first spring in the new bookshop, and we're loving the way the late afternoon light filters into the Children's Room.

Heading back from hospital, and thinking that I deserve a pint in Cloisters (after strolling through a very sunny Marchmont).

Blue skies and warm, spring sunshine over the Royal Infirmary, hoping that's a good omen for my check-up ("it is the old wound, my king, it has never healed").

Bus here left from outside one of my favourite pubs; I may go in on the way back...

Leaving work early for appointment at the Royal Infirmary, which takes me on a bus route - the 24 - which I'm rarely on.

Weather gorgeous as we pass the huge Grange Cemetery, quite enjoying watching parts of my city I don't see so often going by.

We lost our breeding pair a couple of years back, fingers crossed this new, young couple with their first nest bring us some cygnets again this spring.

Union Canal on this rather splendid Spring evening. Still light! And warm! What a difference to the winter months.

Lot of people walking, jogging and cycling the towpath, or just sitting nearby , enjoying it, even saw our new swan couple building up their nest, fingers crossed for cygnets again (been a couple of years since we lost the previous breeding pair on this stretch of canal)

There are Mormons in the area, stopping people very politely to ask them about their god.

I am alternating between wanting to sing "the Mormons are coming!" or asking them if they've seen the film, Heretic?
