@augieray
it will destroy our democracy but it wont make russia great; that is not the plan.
it will create a feudal system of government with the #bigCorps in charge. The people will have no say; if a bigCorp can make a buck by polluting a river or killing a few workers then that will be ok. a simple trade-off

no regulations, oversight, review are alternatives will be allowed.

@georgetakei
as a Russian asset that is the plan.
We have a ring side seat on how to take down a country and destroy a democracy. It is being replaced with a feudal system of government, think 1,000 years ago, 1000-1400's; before science.

The GOP is/will spread fear, ignorance, hunger, illness

This is being done in the service of the bigCorps, this is exactly what happened then the USSR disappeared. The bigCorp #oligarchs took over.

The US gov will be the military wing of the #bigCorps.

so you buy a product from amazon and then they get to tell you how it will work and they can also change how it works.

Can you get your money back?

If I buy a car and it turns into a potato peeler, there should be some recourse for the people.

Why are we giving the #bigCorps all the power?

#democracy is more than voting!

@Techmeme
let me clear up any confusion folks might get from your Blurb.

"An audit found that 1/3 of the results from the top 10 AI chatbots, including ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini, were false claims from tRump(usa) and Kremlin disinformation networks. (NewsGuard's Reality Check)"

It will be up to you to figure out which third; dont ask google.

#conservative #billionaires and #bigCorps around the world are still working on eliminating the other 2/3.

#democracy is more than voting.

@shadash @daringfireball

How much of the federal work is being done my private corporation, via "contract" workers.

We are paying a profit to those #bigCorps to get our work done; which concentrates the wealth.

Maybe the workforce SHOULD grow, we would save the profit and that money would be paid to the workers directly.
The corps would then have more #customers with cash in their pockets, to buy stuff and that would give the corps a reason to build plants and hire folks.

I thought the whole idea of a video ad is to distract you.

Now the #bigCorps want us to believe that they can display ads on a cars display but they, at the same time, are not distracting the driver.

I can only say #WTH

They are counting on #Critical #thinking being in short supply.
Are they correct and what can we do about it.

@davidho
Why dont folks understand that we should not be trying to run our government like a corporation.

We need a government that provides the most product and service for the lease amount of money.

The folks that run #bigCorps are rewarded for giving the least amount of product and service for the most amount of money.

Its completely different training and mindset and produces a completely different result.

@EcoCowboy @CelloMomOnCars @Pollinators

The best thing is to have multiple responses at all levels. We are being attacked at all levels.

We have ring side seats to the next raise of the aristocracy; We need to get off the sidelines and into the fight.

organize at every level,
your family; reduce the flow of money to #bigCorps, eat local
your community; support food bank, traffic calming measures
your state; make sure that good practices are in your constitution and that laws are passed

@dmm
we also have to account for the case where more than one person picks those numbers.

The #bigCorps running these types of schemes will not tell you the most important fact; how many folks have already picked your numbers?

you should pick numbers that nobody else plays.

@CuriousMagpie
after reading the article, this sounds like another failure of the #corporatism system. #bigCorps is only concerned with profit not worker safety. Their view is "workers are cheap and replaceable but any dollar less than max profit this quarter is lost forever."

This plays into the #GOP motto, "I got mine, good luck getting yours"

They have paid off politicians to do nothing.

unregulated capitalism will kill us all.

"...researchers note that the global trends seem to present a "disease paradox whereby reduced acute mortality exposes survivors..."

arstechnica.com/health/2024/12

Not sure where the #paradox is; #bigCorps have focused on treating #disease and not curing or preventing disease. The max-profit-point is in treatments not cures or prevention. Those just reduce cost and do not increase the concentration of wealth.

Folks need to think more about their #privacy While a single piece of data about a person may seem useless when the #bigCorps aggregate all the pieces that are exposed on all the different places we leave data, we leave ourselves open to #manipulation and #exploration.
There are #alternatives.
