One of my favorite Janeway face-acting sequences on the show was when she was trying to follow Tom's Captain Proton holo-novel plot, got drafted to play Queen Arachnia and tried to follow Tom's tips on playing the Queen.
"And remember, you're the Queen!"

At the beginning, Harry commented that the Planet X set looked familiar. Tom confirmed that sets were expensive and this one was previously used to represent Mercury.
I wonder if this was a reference to Vasquez Rocks and/or Planet Hell set (Paramount Stage 16) which contained various cave sets on Trek.

My favorite #Voyager episode has to be #BrideOfChaotica . The #CaptainProton bits were perfection. And the idea of a Photonic race who is unable to see reality as real, but sees holograms as real, was a great spin on the usual #Holodeck storylines.
I especially loved #Janeway as #Arachnia "Queen of the Spider People."

One of my favorite parts of the Voyager based scenes in this episode was Janeway's facial expressions when she was trying to follow Paris' explanations and tips about the holo adventure.

Between the simple sets, music style and black and white scenes, VOY's "Bride of Chaotica" is a nice homage to the serials of the '30s & '40s.
