Won't be able to find anything about the visiting carrier though sadly. They can't create tickets for their engineers without me having a contract with them, and the first line only has very basic information. Can't even register on their community portal for the same reason :/
Alright, progress. My home carrier finally explicitly confirmed that they don't have #VoLTE Roaming, so the problem isn't on my side. Sadly no schedule/plans to have it implemented. Best case I only stop receiving calls (honestly for the better perhaps, with all the spam calls, hah), but SMS may still keep working if the visiting carrier supports SMS over #LTE signalling. Worst case I won't be able to use it at all, but we'll see.

#Tele2 and #Telenor (as part of #Net4Mobility) in Sweden announced that they will be shutting down #2G and #3G mobile networks on December 1st, 2025. Tre (Three) is expected to be done by end of year as well. At that point 3G will be fully gone, and only #Telia will keep their 2G network until end of 2027.

Visa bėda su 2G yra tame, kad standartuose numatyta prievolė abonentui (mobiliajam telefonui su SIM kortele) autentifikuotis (prisistatyti save identifikuojant ir taip gauti prieigą), tačiau nėra numatyta, kad tinklas turi įrodyti savo tapatybę abonentui - abonentas iš esmės negali žinoti ar prisijungė prie „tikro“ tinklo, ar piktavalių klastotės.
3G standartų ir protokolų grupėje jau numatyta, kad tiek abonentas, tiek ir tinklas turi prisistatyti vienas kitam. Labai apibendrinant, mobiliojo ryšio abonento tapatybės gaudyklės (International Mobile Subscriber Identity catcher - IMSI-catcher), praktijoje vadinami stingray arba tiesiog kenkėjiškos mobiliojo ryšio stotys, veikia tokiu principu, kad bando sutrikdyti ar užgožti prieigą prie 3G ir aukštesnių grupių standartų, kad įrenginys mažintų reiklumą (downgrade) protokolams ir standartams, siekdamas užmegzti bent kokį nors įmanomą ryšį. Piktavalių pirminis uždavinys - daryti viską iki įrenginys sutiks komunikuoti prastai apsaugotais (lengvai šiuolaikinėmis priemonėmis iššifruojamais) ar visai neapsaugotais ryšio protokolais 
I have a theory that I want to share about sites that aren't part of the #Cornerstone agreement for some reason and are #O2 only.
I reckon the LACs indicate when a site is O2 host and isn't shared with another network. I think whenever a 2G LAC begins with 22xxx, it's O2 only (regular sites begin with a 21xxx LAC).
* Case 1: Eastern Avenue in Mitcheldean. Broadcasts under BTS 9147 on LAC 22212, using an O2 host site ID of 038910.
* Case 2: random airport in Wales. Broadcasts on 2G, 3G and 4G, no indication of the 4G eNB popping up on Vodafone. Broadcasts on 2G under BTS 4147 with LAC 22860, site ID is 051035. 4G eNB is 545714 afaik (I couldn't be bothered to convert the cell ID to hexadecimal to check).
I think something similar happens on some O2 only 3G only sites, but I can't really confirm whether it's on any macro sites. I can confirm it happens on some boostboxes though, with 18xxx and 19xxx LACs.

All #PII incl. #PhoneNumbers can and will be abused by existing governments and if users don't pay, then they are the product and their data is the one to be sold.
After all, you have the same cost problem with phone numbers. Even if one doesn't pay per line/number and never pay for calls and texts, they still have to top it up to extent validity.
Plus you relying an unfixably insecure #Telephony makes a system inherently unsafer than it needs to be...
Also #Signal is able and willing to use said PII to restrict and ban users and if I were some dissident in Cuba or North Korea or even just Eritrea or Yemen I'd not rely on non-enforcement of #OFAC / #USML / #ITAR since Signal can obviously distinguish & identify accounts by virgue if their #PhoneNumber!

Basically a #Router with some #Linux on Ethernet, Power & F-Screw-Connector on the rear, #56k& #ISDN #Modem|s and USB up-front.
And don't even get me started on #VoLTE support...
Also most #VoLTE / #Vo5G - devices *explicitly use #2G / #3G for #EmergencyCalls!

Like: IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK TO HAVE THAT INFO IN THE SPECSHEETS?
You're obviously able to list all the #Codecs natively supported and the user-available storage as well as supported Frequency Bands, WWAN modes, WiFi channel width and the Display Glass vs. Panel dimensions including DPI of the latter and whether or not it has a hall effect sensor to detect your overpriced 1st party tablet covers!
Now some folks may ask: "WHY does this matter?" or outright dismiss this as a problem.

Not everyone is able or willing to carry two devices when 1 SHOULD BE ENOUGH and also some places (i.e. #Turkey) have #ImportRestrictions re: #MobileDevices, so having more than 1 #IMEI is already a "NOPE!" by the authorities.
So why do NONE of the #Tablet manufacturers allow to #search or #filter for that???
NO, instead one has to download an obscenely huge #PDF just to then read on page 34 that for any "#telephony" function you NEED YET ANOTHER DEVICE FROM THE SAME MANUFACTURER AND HAVE TO SIGNUP WITH AN ACCOUNT and even that level of #abuse WON'T GUARANTEE THAT IT WORKS...
Pretty shure A LOT of other folks have the same question and ain't willing to get yet another device & #SIM just to recieve the occasional call because #TechIlliterates can't be assed to send an #eMail or learn #XMPP+#OMEMO to message one...
