I remember the 2000 Election. There were enough votes for Ralph Nader to hand the election to George W. Bush.
I remember the 2016 Election. There were enough votes for Jill Stein to hand the election to Donald Trump.
In 2024 the Green Party is running Cornell West. Let’s not repeat this history, friends
Your vote is not a marriage. You’re not choosing a life partner. It’s a chess move for what’s best for the country and the world.
Well, you just lost me. A vote is a representation of a persons individual beliefs, of who could best run their office.
If you shit on alternative parties, then you turn them into rebels. Congrats, you just made your own case worse.
Bye.
@the_Effekt @georgetakei We may disagree on who to vote for & why, but I implore everyone to vote in this election. It’s a cliche saying, but it becomes more serious every Presidential cycle: this is the most important election in your life.
It is better to enter the arena as a friend or a foe, than to remain in your seat as a spectator, watching the world change about you without your input.
@darnell @georgetakei I definitely agree, and I do, and have voted Democrat.
The people who deride me and other Indy's (alt parties) for having independent values, and being critical of either detrimental or non-action from Democrats are full of assumptions and scripted propaganda from their party. Every comment I see that swings that way keeps pushing me further away from any desire to support them.
