I'd love to see self-driving last-mile taxis, operated by public transit agencies, in areas that are too sparsely served by buses to get people out of cars.

Cities built for pedestrians and transit are a great goal, but sprawl can't be unbuilt in a generation.

@mikew12 and all of this would be available under the infrastructure program that included tax deductible public transportation for those earning less than the national average.

@mikew12 All these things are good, but we still need affordable self-driving cars at some point, for disabled people who can't drive themselves.

@mikew12 @jsit I don't want self driving cars either. I want technology that would allow me to operate my transportation of choice. That could be a car, truck, motorcycle, or what ever it takes to get the job I want to do at the time. Transportation is not a one size fits all kind of thing.
