I want fast passenger rail so accessible and easy it's preferable to suffering airports.

I'd love to see self-driving last-mile taxis, operated by public transit agencies, in areas that are too sparsely served by buses to get people out of cars.
Cities built for pedestrians and transit are a great goal, but sprawl can't be unbuilt in a generation.
