While pondering the irony of the US halting all federal research funding at the same time that a small foreign startup popped the AI bubble I enjoyed some nice scenery while listening to talks for my ! (1/4)

Next was a great pair of talks by Tobias Kretschmer and Juan Santaló on corporate strategy and platform markets at the Strategic Management Society youtube.com/watch?v=DyngPhSWvP (3/4)

Last was "American Higher Education in the 21st Century," edited by Michael Bastedo, Philip Altbach, and Patricia Gumport. This is an impressive collection of academic essays on the history, present, and future of American higher education (although there is a chapter that considers international institutions). I highly recommend the last chapter by Gary Rhoades on the interaction between markets, the state, and higher education press.jhu.edu/books/title/1269 (4/4)
