Horrified and heartbroken at the barrage of attacks by Hamas upon civilians in Israel. Innocent people suffer the consequences of violent extremism, and this kind of terrorism only produces deeper, more intractable problems. My thoughts and hopes are for peace, and for democracy for all people in the region, but such a future is proving ever more elusive, I fear.

I guess you are for the total annihilation of the Jewish state, no compromise, no settlement. Are you at least going to give the British credit for freeing the area from 100's of years of Ottoman rule?

The British Empire was looking out for itself, expanding its colonizing authority to every inch of land they could grab. Asking anyone to "thank them" for anything when they ravaged more than half the world is disingenuous at best.
