US Dist Judge Royce Lamberth in Washington issued a preliminary #injunction after the women were added as plaintiffs in ongoing litigation over the impact of #Trump’s EO on #transgender women in federal #prisons.

Lamberth ordered the FBP to “immediately transfer” the 2 women – identified in court papers by the pseudonyms Rachel & Ellen Doe – back to women’s facilities & said the agency must continue to provide them w/ hormone therapy treatment for gender *dysphoria*.

HCRG Care's lawyers claimed an injunction issued in a "private" hearing required us to remove two posts. We didn't comply.

HCRG Care was represented by the Pinsent Masons law firm in the UK in this matter. The injunction was issued by the High Court of Justice, King's Bench Division, Media and Communications List by the Honorable Mr. Justice Soole.

Pinsent Mason's attempt to get my web host to remove my posts also failed.

Domain names are a vulnerable spot affecting freedom of communication, and governments are not the only threats.

 Dissent Doe :cupofcoffee: wrote the following post Tue, 04 Mar 2025 12:32:09 -0800 Last Friday I received a letter from a U.K. law firm with an attached injunction. The law firm claimed I must remove two posts about their client.

That is not going to happen. I am not under the jurisdiction of the U.K. or the High Court of Justice. My lawyer informed them of that yesterday.

But DataBreaches.net might disappear tomorrow because the U.K. law firm sent the injunction to my domain registrar who, innocently believing them, informed me they will suspend my site if I don't remove the posts within 24 hours. I have replied to them but have not heard back.

So...

If my site is gone tomorrow, I will let you know where you can read a lot more about the injunction and how the injunction poses a serious risk of censorship in the U.K.

If my site is still online tomorrow, I will still let you know here where you can read about the over-reaching injunction obtained in a private hearing where no one represented journalists whose reporting was being censored.

A federal judge in Maryland on Friday temporarily blocked key portions of #Trump’s executive orders targeting #diversity, #equity & #inclusion (#DEI) initiatives in the federal #government & #corporate America.

US District Judge Adam B. Abelson granted a preliminary #injunction, blocking portions of #Trump’s orders to cancel federal #contracts concerning DEI & make government contractors certify that they do not engage in DEI practices that violate anti-#discrimination laws.

In response, Judge Ali, a Biden appointee, issued a temporary #injunction saying that the #Trump admin could not freeze #ForeignAid spending that predates Trump’s inauguration, nor could it fire or suspend workers associated w/those spending projects.

The ruling reverses a decision that had thrown into turmoil programs that provide #shelter for millions of people & fight #hunger & #illness around the globe.

A federal judge on Thurs extended for 7 days his temporary restraining order on the #Trump admin’s move to place about 2,100 employees from the #USAID on paid leave, while the judge ponders entering a preliminary #injunction against the move.

2 labor #unions representing USAID employees sued the Trump admin last week, saying the sudden halt to funding not only upended overseas #aid programs but the employees’ personal lives in various countries.

The lawsuit asserts that the plaintiffs remain the lawful inspectors general of their agencies because #Trump’s dismissals broke the #law. It asks for an #injunction requiring the executive branch to allow them to return to work & awarding them back pay.

4 days after Trump returned to office last month, the White House notified as many as 17 inspectors general in tersely worded emails that they were being terminated because of “changing priorities.”
