Microsoft Tightens Grip on Windows 11 Account Setup

The latest Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel build has removed bypassnro, a script long used to skip the mandatory Microsoft Account sign-in during setup.

Microsoft now requires internet and account login for all setups.
Change applies to both Home and Pro editions.
The update is framed as a security and user experience enhancement.
Local accounts reduce notifications, ads, and tracking—but you’ll now need new workarounds.

This change is currently in preview but could roll out to all users in Windows 11 25H2 this fall.

Een ogenschijnlijk onschuldig en open platform, maar het gaat rap X achterna. Extra verneukeratief is dat je aan de titels/URLs niet direct kunt zien dat je met het platform te maken hebt. Edit: sommige auteurs gebruiken een eigen domeinnaam.

Ist Excel 2016 auch schon voll enshittified (schlechte Defaults mal ausgenommen)? Erst hat jmd. im Haus ne 73 MB-Datei, deren Daten in ner neuen Datei so 100 KB sind. Ich mein 72,8 MB pastet man ja auch nicht versehentlich "versteckt" mal eben?

Dann diverse PCs wo Excel als App direkt nicht startet, wohl aber über Aufruf von Dateien im Explorer. Reinstallation hilft auch nicht.

Den Vorschlag, LibreCalc zu nehmen, finden die meisten nicht so doll, leider.
