Armchair prediction: Lacking any way to break the light speed barrier for intergalactic travel, humans' main overall contribution to the Universe will be autonomous spacecraft filled with frozen bacteria and seeds, destined to the most promising life-supporting planets/moons many light years away.
(and yes, I realize there are some moral/ethical issues to undertake before this happens)
