When I was growing up I was misunderstood a lot, and I tried to compensate for that by assuming that it was my fault for not explaining myself well.
@hmm_cook I was diagnosed a year ago & had brain surgery 8 months ago. Lately I’ve been asking if I’m speaking Greek bcs I can’t figure out if I’m not explaining myself well, why people don’t understand me, or if the surgeon removed too much of my brain. I think people are caught off guard by my bluntness. The doctor definitely removed what filter was left btw my brain and mouth.
Drs said brain surgery can unmask underlying conditions or traits that the brain used to compensate for.
