From his POV, he is fulfilling a campaign promise. Honestly he's probably very confused why people are unhappy. He promised this to them, they voted for him and now he's delivering.
@georgetakei Yet his approval rating remains at 47% (per The Economist). He seems to be pretty well aware he has not yet lost any support from his voters. I think the rest of us simply cannot see the world through their eyes. We're stuck with them. Unfortunately.
