I've been watching him for many years and I remember all these things too, when they happened. There have been exposes, but Americans are ignorant and also have amnesia...And they don't care as long as the price of eggs comes down,soon... That's as nicely as I can put it.
Sadly, I think it's a deeper ignorance. It's willful. Us vs Them kind of thing. Gotta "own the liberals." and I get it, I feel the same towards them, with a measure of hope that they will see the truth.
It's never felt closer to people choosing sides for some big mash up that's bound to happen. I few people I know I have already asked them if they will feel safe when it all burns down.
All of the boogeyman problems keeping us from being "great again" will still be there after every obstacle in their "way" is gone.
And it's why I've always voted non-partisan. I'm very weary of all of it, and have been for many years. Civility is gone. I'm for inclusive fairness and true equality...for everyone, not just lip service.
