Good morning, friends.
22 Jul 23
It's Saturday and I have the day off. Which sounds like a treat, if I leave it at that. But if you follow my morning musings, you know that I have every day off. For some reason, Saturday still feels exciting.

There are things that puzzle me - surprise. The photographs that I post are mostly birds, plants, and other animals, nature type photos. But occasionally, I see an interesting building, ship, of other structure that I bet somebody would enjoy seeing a picture of. For some odd reason, a few of those benign photos seem to draw unsolicited blunt negative comments. Not from everybody, but it's almost as if there are a few people who thrive on trying to stifle the joy of other people.

@Swede1952 Social media is full of people who want to rain on other people's parades. IRL there are social consequences for being a pill. Here, not so much. So people do it and reveal far too much about themselves which they'd be better off if they didn't. In short, they drop their pants and wonder why people think they're a**es.
The bright side is that it gave me something to write about this morning. I usually sit for a while staring at my computer wondering what to talk about.
@Swede1952 Yes, some people seem to just wait for being able to post negative stuff. Unfortunately. You know you can mute someone.
Mute and block are measures that I save for special occasions. There are some people out there who become so obsessed with a certain point that they continue to go on and on. They are deserving of special treatment.
For your run of the mill isolated negativity, I usually just don't respond.
Otherwise, I try to respond to every comment, maybe just a happy face.
@Swede1952 I agree, I am doing it the same way.

Brilliant red, captured so beautifully. These are the things unique to earth-life. Thank you.
@NoctisEqui
My pleasure
@Swede1952 Nice. I'm always disappointed with the way digital photography represents reds, however. They always seem a little off. A little too orangey.
Thanks Ned! I usually use Lightroom to tweak the photos.
