THIS is what I HOPE for #PrideMonth
1) Companies will sponsor not just Pride but billboards ads lawn signs TV/Radio celebrating the beauty of trans kids & gender non-conforming people.
2) Elected officials community leaders clergy parents bosses co-workers talk about their gay & trans family & friends. Moderate Republicans ask colleagues to pledge now to push back on & repeal the demonizing, censoring, banning, criminalizing bills hurting #queer people trying to stay safe & live in communities in peace.
3) I want every non-queer / #ally who hears a threat or ugly stereotype to ask the person for respect & kindness, let others know bigotry, #racism cruelty towards any group of people is unacceptable.
4) Esp in small towns for people to post, wave, hang, wear #pride colors, esp the trans & progress flags.
Allies change the environment for us & for those who might think their hate is normal.
You make us safer, show we’re not alone.
THIS IS HOW we change what’s wrong right now.
