I'd love to get my wife @MoonCat into doing audio-description and audiobook reading. Now I know she sounds great behind the mic, I should try to find a way for her to branch out.
She has such a clear, calming voice with fantastic diction.
What's that I hear you say? Bias? Me? No way. Of course not. Definitely not me.
@FreakyFwoof @MoonCat ,I agree, she has a really nice voice. :)
@FreakyFwoof Okay, that's actually very sweet.
@FreakyFwoof @MoonCat When I was in the field librivox.org were always looking for volunteers. Some beautiful poetry and short stories out there.
@FreakyFwoof @MoonCat there's also a lot to be said for reading letters.

@FreakyFwoof @MoonCat always makes me smile when I'm' down
@FreakyFwoof @MoonCat I don't know much about them, but I hear International Digital Centre are always looking for new describers
@CallumStoneman @MoonCat Oh interesting, not a place I'd heard of before. Thanks.
@FreakyFwoof @MoonCat I only know of them because the owner and one of the AD script writers have been interviewed on the Double Tap podcast before. They've done quite a lot of content for Netflix https://www.idcdigital.com/services
@FreakyFwoof They did the audio description for Game of Thrones (not the Sky version), Wednesday, Top Boy, and Bridgerton, just to name four. Descriptive Video Works would also be worth contacting. @CallumStoneman @MoonCat
@FreakyFwoof @MoonCat For the record, I have no bias at all and I agree with this.
@simon @FreakyFwoof @MoonCat She'd be super good at that.
