Calling him a DUI hire is making fun of the person who hired him, not him, at best. Realistically it's not even making fun, it's a factual statement.

Welcome. Besides, not every boozer is an "alcoholic", who can't help himself anymore and has to be treated like the victim of some disease. There's a whole spectrum of them.
