@georgetakei expect a whole new #medicinal #health spur to #genderaffirm #masculinitity
@georgetakei hilarious. With those eyebrows the lashes won’t do the trick
@lindarosesmit @georgetakei shape these out of control masculine eyebrows, now trim these out of control feminine eyelashes!
@bransonturner @georgetakei like that indeed. Poor boys. So much insecurity.
@georgetakei Some guys are so afraid of looking a little androgynous they will go to (checks notes) a brow and lash parlor.
@georgetakei They need that gender affirming care I've heard so much about
Real men trim their eyelashes with a petrol-powered line trimmer/whipper snipper!
Or a chainsaw…
@georgetakei omg wtf no.
@georgetakei
Proving manhood by making it easier for dirt to get in your eyes.
@georgetakei Nope. Eyelashes protect your eyes!
As someone who once had to have a metal splinter removed from my eye - don't mess with my luxurious lashes!
@georgetakei they must not know anything about biology. Men tend to have longer eyelashes than women
@georgetakei It would be a big step forward if not only women are "allowed" to look "like men" (trousers, suits, and so on) but the other way around as well. We still walk around in "gender uniforms". What a weird society we are living in.
Men ARE allowed to wear skirts and dresses in many countries. Unless they live in a country where it's actually illegal, men can just go outside in a skirt or dress (really comfy in summer!) and they won't get thrown in a prison!
It seems to me that most men who complain about these traditions just sit around waiting for others to win this fight for them. They don't want to rebel against traditional gender presentation themselves.
@Mab_813 @georgetakei Well, being "legal" and being "socially accepted" are two things. There can also be consequences for your job or how people treat you (to the point that you may be offended or attacked in public), so it is not just "you just need to do it", although doing it anyway is still good.
And yet the risk for men here to wear skirts/dresses is way lower than the risk for women in Iran who refuse to wear a scarf.
And if cis men don't start to wear skirts/dresses, things will never change.
My point stands: Cis men like to complain about "not being allowed to wear skirts/dresses" but then 99 % don't actually DO anything to achieve that sort of change.
Changes in society have ALWAYS been achieved by taking risks. There is no other way.
Would you have told suffragettes back in the day "Sure voting rights for women would be great but people might get offended! There might be negative consequences in our jobs! We might get attacked!"
If they had thought like you, I would not have voting rights. And neither would you, regardless of your gender.
You can vote because people took risks in order to achieve change.
@georgetakei when your masculinity is a pantomime
What are they gonna do when they get man-boobs?
@georgetakei First off, eyelashes protect the eyes. Secondly, long eyelashes make men more attractive. Dudes are doing everything to not get laid it seems.
@alteNBnordpfalz @georgetakei If only toxic masculinity could select against its own reproduction and survival within one generation!
@georgetakei pretty sure going to the beauty parlor is pretty feminine.
@georgetakei Affirming masculinity by gettin’ your eyes did.
@georgetakei
Toxic men making it easier to spot them quickly.
Any dude this insecure doesn't deserve to have women in his life.
Social media users are wondering if the cishets are losing their minds.
Yes. Yes they are. At least the toxic masculine guys and their enablers among them.
I thought these guys didn't support Gender Affirming Procedures?
@georgetakei the idea was to get better , not fall in the same pit as women with insecurities
I hope they find out the hard way what eyelashes are for.
