Bet he wasn’t expecting this response.

@georgetakei haha I got this in my email earlier too George. 💕😂

@caspercdn @georgetakei I think he's saying that out of the company's employees, the CEO has noticed this behavior in two of them.

@georgetakei

I’m convinced the majority of the questions on Quora are made up, like this one, by fucking assholes that work at YouTube or Google, whoever owns it, as fucking click bait. The questions are among the stupidest, most deliberately incendiary, nonsensical shit I ever read.

@RodneyPetersonTalent
They've used "AI" generated questions for many years already.
That's why I completely stopped playing attention to that site.
@georgetakei

@georgetakei This response should be taught in all MBA courses for the next fifty years. It is business genius.

@georgetakei Bosses: You rent your worker's time, you don't purchase their soul.

@georgetakei frankly, why waste the olive oil?

@NewtonMark A bit argumentative on my part, Mark, but how come working after hours etc isn't just something one might not like doing but has to suck up if one wants to work because work sometimes involves doing things the employer wants that you might not like doing?

Ducking and weaving modes <engaged>...

@kauer Har har.

I mean, I'm working after hours right now, but it's generally accepted that if your org's normal work requires unpaid overtime, it means you suck as a manager because you've underprovisioned the team or overprovisioned the work.

@georgetakei

Dear Mr. CEO,

If you want people to work 24/7, pay them three times the amount you're paying them now. Then see if anybody takes you up on it. I doubt it.

Your notion of how long the work day should be seems misguided by your own ability to delegate work to others, while you sleep, shit, bathe, make love to an unresponsive partner, fail to parent, shop online, complain, and bullshit with other CEOs. Your employees don't have that option. Deal with it.

@georgetakei

Sometimes it's hard to determine the difference between satire and real life. This story could be both.

We are living in strange times.

@georgetakei "My employees don't act like slaves. How should I punish them?"
Seriously, did Darkseid write this

@georgetakei
This Quora post is years old. It gets reposted on Reddit constantly. It's been getting reposted here recently. Now you're reposting it. I don't get it. Mastodon doesn't have karma. What motivates this pattern of only reposting mass-appealing content from other sites?

@JRFreeman What motivates seeing a thing you enjoy, then reposting that thing for others to enjoy, I wonder.

I don't hang on reddit, it's the first time I see this screenshot.

@georgetakei

I adore how specific and pettily well-thought out this answer is.

@georgetakei That's far too kind an answer for a CEO. Guillotines are the way.

@georgetakei u would literally dissolve if I was the person receiving that insult
