The IONIQ 5 is missing.
People are ditching Teslas not just because Musk is a disaster, but because better options exist. BMW, Hyundai, Kia, Audi, Rivian—tons of EVs outperform Tesla in luxury, reliability, and ethics. Even former fans are done with Musk’s nonsense. The consensus? Keep the EV, lose the fascist billionaire.

@TomWellborn @StillIRise1963 Which ones have decent door handles and can be easily opened from the inside if there is a power failure?
@paulc @TomWellborn @StillIRise1963 my VW ID.4 has electronic push buttons on the doors but also pull out manually, old school style. Seems safe.
@TomWellborn while I’m glad that my Ioniq 6 made the list, people are seriously sleeping on how much the Ioniq 5 rules the EV game.
@TomWellborn Dog mode continues to be my major gap to replacing the swasticar. Secondary, phone as a key appears broken on every other car. Hyundai doesn't support any android except Samsung, for example.
And apparently still requires you to place your phone on the door pillar (NFC instead of Bluetooth?).
These aren't difficult features, but they aren't priorities for most car makers.
If a union sticker is important to you, be sure to specify that.
@TomWellborn@universeodon.com yeah, teslas are basically rough riding shitty economy cars with terrible build quality, dumb design decisions, and awful reliability that will trap you inside if the power fails. got them as ubers a few times and they suck even as a passenger
