Update: I was wrong. It's no longer working without the www, but with it it's still online.
Per @AnneOfGreenCables, they may have tried to take the site down and botched it. They removed the DNS records for the non-www version.
Apparently Trump has said that "most" government websites are going to be shut down.

@RoLarenRED57@universeodon.com@bodhipaksa @AnneOfGreenCables I just searched using *.gov to see what came back and was struck by the new header at state.gov. The previous home page had a simple “US Department of State” header with links to the “Results Delivered” video and other retrospectives.
The new homepage seems so possessive.
