@Bongolian Sorry, I don't believe fear was the motivator for one single minute. Bezos bought the Post to have influence in DC. During the Biden era that meant strenuous defense of democracy, now...wrongly anticipating a Trump victory (or counting on Harris having a greater commitment to press freedom than his own), he's thrown Trump a bene in exchange for future favors down the road. The word is corruption.
@Bongolian The fragile billionaires have subsumed their identity in their wealth. Who they really are was dead and buried long ago in their quest to become what they have.
