Hi everyone. As you can see, I’m decked out in my #LongCOVIDAwareness gear. This week is our #LongCOVIDAwareness movement. March 15th is international #LongCOVIDAwarenessDay and it is used to bring recognition and elevate the status of the MILLIONS of people affected by the ongoing COVID crisis.
A lot of you may not realize that there are STILL people being affected by #COVID as well as other infection related conditions. My wife is one of them. I still follow many precautions due to her illness. It is not a political statement.
It’s because she is so compromised as a result of what #COVID has done to her.
YOU CAN HELP US ELEVATE AWARENESS AND MAKE SURE THAT PEOPLE LIKE HER ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.

We contracted it when we ate in a crowded hamburger joint. I KNEW better than to go in there with such a crowd, but my girlfriend insisted because she was so hungry (I love eating there supported the Korean owners who have been there for 20 yrs). My normal time to eat there was between 2-3pm when less than 6 people were there, and I could space myself away from them. That evening, it hit me, and 2 days later, she got it. That was in August 2024. I now mask up when I go into grocery stores and can count on 1 hand how many others are wearing masks. Scary.
@BillMcGuire yeppers, it is. I’m always sketched out by being around people in public settings. I admit, sometimes, I’m not as diligent as I was even a year ago. Then I read stories like yours and I’m back to being a militant masker. Next pandemic is up on deck, just waiting on the right circumstances…..
stay vigilant on your safety, my friend. Hey, I was in the stands when our Aggies defeated the Auburn Men's basketball team. Wow, it was superb fun, but as a guy who has been in the situation b4 with 12k+ fans, we left early enough to escaper the parking lot frenzy of trying to get back home. ha
@BillMcGuire hahahahahahaha!
@BigDogBo
It never should have been a political statement.
@Pourroy I agree, but it was framed that way and our leaders headed the charge.
