Hail Odin on this Odin's Day!
The Restless Wanderer seeks not peace,
But rather the deep wells of wisdom
From which he may sip;
The Sagely Seeker knows no hunger
Besides that gnawing lust
To gaze on mysteries laid bare
And feast thereon.

Hail the Allfather on Odin’s Day!
Run through with his spear on Yggdrasil, Odin shows the necessity of slaying the ego in order to realise our connectedness with the created order. To cut down the view that seeks domination and yield to one’s place within the web of being.

Nine days and nights, Odin hung upon Yggdrasil. A night and a day for each of the nine worlds; a sunrise and a sunset for every realm of creation. So did the Allfather see the rising and falling of existence and realised in the runes the language of wyrd inscribed in all things.

Hail, Allfather this Odin‘s Day!
Make you a blood eagle
Of my ignorance,
And on those wings of failing wit,
As they breathe out their last
And exhale the bones
Of knowledge that is not,
May I soar to true realisation.
Hail Allfather;
Hail Wisdom-seeker;
Hail Restless Wanderer.
Wine for the Allfather as Odin‘s Day approaches.

Hail the Allfather on Odin‘s Day!
Hail, Rune-seeker,
Hail, Wise Wanderer,
The Third,
The Fire of the Skald!
Make your quest our own,
And your thirst for the gallows
Of Yggdrasil
Parch our own souls,
Till we hang thereon,
Yielded to its reach
For wisdom’s draught.

Hail Allfather on Odin’s Day.
Ceaseless Wanderer,
Inspire us to restlessly seek
The wisdom with which
The Sacred Yggdrasil buds and falls;
Blind One,
Be our guide that we may see
Beyond vision
And behold what lies before us
In plain view,
Yet which we miss
For want of sight.
Hail Allfather on Odin’s Day!
Hail, Lord of the Hunt,
Storm-stirrer,
At winter’s howling head;
In the enclave dim,
By lamp- and firelight
We find repose,
As yonder rides
The Ravager,
Raking earth with bitter rage
Before the feet of Freya
Pass, and in her steps,
Arises new the green.
Hail Allfather on Odin’s Day!
Form of my heart
Are you,
Wisdom-seeker,
That would the roots
Of creation spy;
Hanged One, hail!
O will of mine to
Die the death
While yet alive,
And there upon Hel’s porch
Glimpse lore unspoken
Etched upon
The bones of the world.
Hail the Allfather on this Odin’s Day!
May the Allfather inspire us to wisdom,
To cast aside our limited sight
For the blindness that sees
Without hindrance,
Grasping visions of the deepest depths
Of the Wyrd of all things.

Thanks.
Hail the Allfather on this Odin’s Day!
May we aspire to the vision of Yggdrasil;
To sacrifice all expectations
For the blindness that is true sight,
And the realisation of Wyrd.
Hail Odin on this Odin‘s Day!
Hail the One-Eyed Seeker
In the embrace
Of the Sacred Ash,
Clasped in its reach
Till day and night
And night and day,
Nine times passed,
Opened up the weave
In which the roots
Of Yggdrasil are laced;
The Wyrd that binds
All as one,
In Futhark shining!
With the sunset, an offering of wine to the Allfather for the approaching Odin‘s Day.
Wine for the Allfather on Odin’s Day.
Hail Odin!
Grant us the insights of Yggdrasil,
Of things that are
And are to come;
Of life and death,
Of the turning wheel
And its bearing
Of all that is
Toward the crushing
Jaws of Fenrir’s rage,
And Jörmungandr’s
Heaving coils,
And Raganarok.
