Хм, допустим, с как ситуация прояснилась: через телегу можно слать коды по номеру телефона за $0,01 вместо СМС.

Вопрос: они там все наглухо ёбнулись всё-таки, или это «стильно, модно, молодежно», надо привыкать к новым реалиям? 🤔

So, #Meta has put #AI into #WhatsApp. And their FAQ regarding #privacy/#confidentiality of your messages are *very* contradictory:

"Only messages that mention @MetaAI, or that people choose to share with Meta AI, can be read by Meta. Meta can’t read any other messages in your personal chats.

As always, your personal messages and calls are protected with end-to-end encryption, meaning no one outside of the chat, not even WhatsApp or Meta, can read, listen to, or share them."

Of course, the former is correct, the latter only applies (in the best case) only to messages not mentioning their AI chatbot.

Looks like the latter paragraph has just been added to confuse non-technical users and make them cast away doubts.

@theDuesentrieb Bridge gibt es meines Wissens nicht.
Es geht nur die harte Tour.
Parallel #Signal installieren und die Leute überzeugen.
Und dann konsequent in Signal antworten und in #Whatsapp die Gruppen langsam reduzieren.
Und aus manchen Gruppen einfach verabschieden.
Gerade offizielle Gruppen haben in WhatsApp nichts zu suchen. Die Schule muss Dich über einen anderen Weg erreichen.
