alwen<p>Sturgeon release today!<br>Five of the buckets of four-month-old sturgeon. </p><p>This river has a small native population of sturgeon. In April they put egg mats out when they're spawning. They check the mats every day. </p><p>There is a trailer rearing facility by the river, and fertilized eggs are raised in river water pumped through the trailer until NOW.</p><p>They have kids (mostly) release them, and members of the local tribal council, and then anyone interested.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.party/tags/SturgeonFish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SturgeonFish</span></a></p>
