Nicolas Ward<p><strong>Vegan Pizza Quest: Portland Edition (Part the Second)</strong></p><p>We were originally going to head to an old Seattle half-vegan favorite, <a href="https://sizzlepie.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sizzle Pie</a>… but thanks to an outdated Apple Maps entry we discovered that the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DGb7THTSXz6/?igsh=MXd4ZnA4YWlldmtyeA==" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">location had closed</a> because the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DGL_EPDzPjq/?igsh=MmJiamxweHV0Y2Rt" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">staff unionized</a>!</p><p>That made our next choice easy… we went a little further east to <a href="https://secretpizzasociety.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Secret Pizza Society</a>. We weren’t able to eat our front outside due to a dusty construction project next door, but inside had some fun weird decor and good vibes.</p><p>It was also funny because they had a special for <a href="https://everout.com/portland/events/portland-pizza-week-2025/e199642/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pizza Week</a> and two different food bloggers or influencers were there to report on the pizza.</p><p>This was delicious too, much less cheesy but closer to my usual crispier crust preference. We all traded slices a bit so we each had a chance to try all three flavors. Our child got the Waponi Woo, which was Hawaiian-adjacent; I got the Drexel; and Andrle got the Classique Pepperoni. All very tasty. We would definitely go back to this vegan hole in the wall again.</p><p><a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://blog.ultranurd.net/tag/food/" target="_blank">#food</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://blog.ultranurd.net/tag/pizza/" target="_blank">#pizza</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://blog.ultranurd.net/tag/portland/" target="_blank">#portland</a> <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://blog.ultranurd.net/tag/vegan/" target="_blank">#vegan</a></p>
