An update for GreatApe — a conversations platform for the Fediverse, social-web, and DeSo.

I have been working on cleaning up the code for the part of GreatApe called "Logjam". LogJam is part of the GreatApe back-end.

. @muhammadzaidali has been working on the Web front-end code for GreateApe. He has been working on the ability to record calls / rooms.

. @benyamin0 has been working on another part of the GreatApe back-end called "GoldGorilla".

The GreatApe code is divided into multiple git repos.

Part of the GreatApe back-end is called "LogJam". LogJam is the part of GreatApe for the P2P (tree organized) audio and video rooms.

(GreatApe is an audio & video conversations platform for the social-web and decentralized social-media (DeSo). Which, of course, includes the Fediverse.)

Myself and @muhammadzaidali have been cleaning up the LogJam code.

Is it just my imagination or does it seem to you as well that the rules of the US Senate are designed to give any tiny group of ideological outliers a stranglehold on the legislative process any time one of their major donors sniffs in a mildly annoyed way?

@tuxom

At what average temperature increase through #GlobalWarming will there be a mass release of #carbon from this giant sink of #logjam in #Canada?

How would this scenario impact global warming?

"...the #Arctic’s cold and often dry conditions mean the #trees can remain in near-perfect condition for tens of thousands of years...
the #MackenzieRiver Delta store about 3.4 million tons of carbon...
that’s about 👉two and a half million #car emissions for a year👈..."

IFLScienceCanada Has A 51-Square-Kilometer Pile Up Of Fallen TreesBy Tom Hale

Three big, long-running branches. All claim to be ready to merge. I'm de facto main QA as well as dev lead (somehow--it's a #SoftPower thing)

Branch 1: Seems fine, but the dev is on paternal leave. Why risk breakage while he's gone?

Branch 2: Critically needed, but some basic functionality is broken. Cannot merge.

Branch 3 (my own): I think it's ready, but no one else has ever run it.

Finally today someone else is looking. Maybe merge to trunk today!
