*Finally* got around to seeing last nights #CapsHawks game and yes, I did get a little emotional when the tying goal went in.

I feel like #ALLCAPS nation have been stuck in this 'will he/wont he' limbo for over a decade now, and then...just like that, it's done.

Thinking about all the great players and great teams that have helped him along his way, all the memories and all the early mornings (or late nights).

Anyone who says we knew this would be the outcome is lying. The man's had to battle through two lockouts and two COVID seasons. Remember those random down years in the early 2010's? The broken leg? It was far from guaranteed.

That said, Caps fans have been spoilt since we got this guy and I'm going to enjoy whatever he's got left to give us. Hopefully another two cups. Failing that, let's just appreciate what we have and had with Ovechkin.
