In mancherlei Hinsicht bin ich altmodisch und genügsam: Ich nutze z.B. kein Musikstreaming. Zu umständlich, zu KI.

Auf dem Dachboden habe ich eine Antenne, die mir #DAB-Programme ins Arbeitszimmer holt. Darunter vier nichtkommerzielle Lokalradios aus Südhessen, die ehrenamtlich betrieben werden. Das sind wahre Wundertüten: von inspirierend bis peinlich. Aber irgendwo ist immer was Spannendes dabei.

Nichtkommerzielles #Radio gibt es auch anderswo: In NRW z.B. die Campusradios wie #Kölncampus.

Nachdem #Deutschlandradio nun mit der #UKW-Abschaltung für #SH droht habe ich mir einen relativ fetten #DAB+-Tuner gekauft.

Don‘t believe a single word when it comes to “near CD quality”. Was für ein armseliger Klang.

Jetzt habe ich mir vor ca. nem 1/2 Jahr doch eine outdoorfähige aktive #DAB + Antenne gegönnt, und entsprechend montiert. Eine ganze Weile habe ich damit sogar zu Abwechslung ein paar Sender empfangen.
Und jetzt? Jetzt ist seit Wochen schon wieder scheiße! DAB ist für mich so unbenutzbar. Und das soll "die Zukunft" sein und FM ablösen? Das ich nicht lache!

Actually, I should have gone to bed early tonight, could have... instead I dug out a dusty #rtlsdr stick. It's now after midnight and the #raspi can display the #adsb signals of #airplanes in the #terminal (coordinates, altitude, speed) with the help of #dump1090, and the #raspberrypi is now playing #dab radio. Nobody needs it, I'm going to sleep :-D

Ich habe entdeckt, dass es für #dab Radio eine Erweiterung eingeführt wird um #Warnmeldung en über zu verbreiten.
Die Erweiterung heißt ASA und soll ortsgenau Radioempfänger einschalten können und auch den warnenden Sender auswählen können.
Also gedacht wenn nachts das Händi stumm ist und man von evt. vorhandenen Sirene hinter dem Lärmschutzfenster nicht geweckt wird.
