Like:</p><p> - get all your messages after being offline<br> - message reactions<br> - message replies<br> - multi-line messages<br> - avatar images</p><p>Matter of taste, of course.</p>

Blake Leonard<p>One could set up a domain, i.e. somerandom.chat, that serves primarily over <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/IRC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IRC</span></a> but can be accessed via XMPP or Matrix. XMPP access can be granted by setting up <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Biboumi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Biboumi</span></a> with the "fixed_irc_server" setting configured to the same domain. Matrix access can be done the same way Libera.chat has done it: set up a homeserver and configure a bridge appservice.</p>

It's going to involve using a second XMPP client that supports XEP-0050.</p>
