Thunderbird<p>That I did not expect.</p><p>In response to a post about the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Holocaust" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Holocaust</span></a> I dared to compare it to what <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/russia" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>russia</span></a> does to citizens of <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Ukraine" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Ukraine</span></a>. You know - killing, kidnapping children, imposing russian citizenship, forcing people to vote in faux referendums - actions causing the erosion of Ukrainian identity. My exact words were "And what does russia do now? They never change."</p><p>I guess the moderators on <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Universeodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Universeodon</span></a> don't see them as leading to the destruction of a nation because my post was deleted with a note: "Holocaust trivialization".</p><p>As I am writing this - Volodymyr <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Zelenskyy" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Zelenskyy</span></a> lights a candle in memory of the Holocaust victims in <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Auschwitz" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Auschwitz</span></a> and gets a round of applause.</p><p>I quit <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Twitter" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Twitter</span></a> because I hated the fact that moderation was non-existant. On <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> your post could be deleted for no reason. Is there no middle ground?</p>
