What is one thing your #father did for you that horrified your #mother but had a profound positive effect on you?

I'll go first. We were at an event and there were a bunch of animals. The guy with the elephants lets you sit on the elephant. My dad hoisted me up to sit on this elephant. My mom was freaking out. I, on the other hand, got to sit on an elephant.

Monsters have babies too.
Baby monsters are even harder to find than the elusive "baby" pigeon. Very few folks can say that they've seen them, let alone created their portraits. I have been lucky. As you might imagine, monster parents can be a bit protective. Mothers in particular. They consider us (humans) more than a bit strange and potentially dangerous. It took most of my free time, lots of monster "treats" and carefully followed Monster Etiquette to befriend just a few of them. Even then, I felt a bit nervous and on edge as I made sketches of their most beloved offspring. It is always a good idea to remind oneself that monsters are ultimately unpredictable creatures, and should be given proper respect at all times.

One teeny, solitary baby stands precariously on Moms scaly leg.

It nervously stares (at me) with large bulging eyes, while the other hand is clamped firmly in its mouth. Bright scales of chartreuse, vivid orange and crimson red cover the body of this wee creature, accompanied by slender candy-cane-like curved horns atop its bald green head. I find it endearingly adorable. NOTE: This description created especially for my lovely blind friend, Georgiana.

'Moeder, l'enfer électro-ménager ou la prison domestique'. C'est un portrait de ma mère, qui comme on peut le constater rayonne de bonheur. Elle avait écrit dans son journal qu'elle se considérait dans son couple au même niveau que la machine à laver ou la télévision. Home form work, local school had a day off. I think there are 4 #children in my house when I usually have −√i children.

I should #cook for them? I have sausages for three. One doesn't eat cow or pork. Well I got some chicken & tofu!

Can take this leftover rice & risotto it up with some dairy product. Plus some baked potatoes I could fry.

For veg, I got this Mexican asparagus. Plus some frozen broccoli. I'm good.

In the 1970's my #mother cooked dinner for such. My children never let me. 😢
