It’s also the most expensive, meaning it was usually reserved for home <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/stoves" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>stoves</span></a> and <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/heating" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>heating</span></a>; not power generation. Because of its high heat content, it was formerly used in blast furnaces, but has been replaced by metallurgical coke which has greater room for oxygen penetration, which anthracite is too dense for. It is also hard to ignite.<br />This <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/mace" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>mace</span></a> <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/photograph" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>photograph</span></a> of the surface of the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/mineral" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>mineral</span></a> show it begins to cleave along flat plains, making it clear that anthracite is an intermediate stage between bituminous coal and graphite.<br />There are also yellow, <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/sulfurous" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>sulfurous</span></a> inclusions on the surface.<br /><a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/MacroPhotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MacroPhotography</span></a>, <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/AnthraciteCoal" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AnthraciteCoal</span></a>, <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Rock" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Rock</span></a>, <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Minerology" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Minerology</span></a>, <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/MinerologicPhotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MinerologicPhotography</span></a>, <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Photography" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Photography</span></a>, <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Photograph" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Photograph</span></a>, <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Photo" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Photo</span></a><br /><a href="https://heronfox.pixels.com/featured/anthracite-specimen-1-heron-and-fox.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">heronfox.pixels.com/featured/a</span><span class="invisible">nthracite-specimen-1-heron-and-fox.html</span></a></p>
