I keep coming back to an idea by Carl #Jung: that individuation requires us to be as organized as cultural forces opposing our individuation.

Fortunately, I think that Jung overstated the case.

What is necessary, I think, is that you stick to your values -- especially when you see others comprising theirs.

Do not give up on compassion. Do not give up on kindness. And never stop striving for consistency, completeness, and accuracy in your understanding of reality.

The seeds of this book…began to germinate with the discovery of Pauli’s extensive and original collection of letters. It is these unique and exciting letters that form the greater part of my material. It is therefore natural for me to make Wolfgang Pauli and his interest in Jung’s psychology the central theme of my study.
