Update on Clive - the #FeralCat that my friend recently rescued from her rural property in Yellowpoint - Cedar/Ladysmith area.

Clive had his full vet check up & he is #FIV+. He'll require regular visits to vet to monitor his health condition & get vaccines as needed.
Clive got all his vaccines last week & is doing pretty good. He got neutered & treated for fleas & worms too. My friend has moved him from the studio outbuilding into her home. Clive is still very timid but is slowly coming around. He is a very sweet & handsome kitty cat ❤️

Our first cat was a small black kitten, #FIV positive, named Blanche (!?!?!) by the shelter folks. We renamed her Clio. Still the best cat I've ever had. We had her almost 13 years.

So true about how expensive veterinary care can be.

I used to have an FIV+ cat (ineligible for veterinary insurance). I was lucky that she stayed well for most of her life, but when she did need treatment it ran into hundreds of pounds.

It was a struggle, but what can you do? They are part of your family.

Also, because more people have vet insurance now and because of TV shows like #Supervet, expectations have increased.

#WhiskersWednesday twofer...

We are currently babysitting one of our former street rescues, Boika (box photo). He's been living with a friend for a few years now.

Evil Bootsie is our latest street boy (just got neutered on Monday). He doesn't look too happy even though I just put the more comfy cone o shame on him...

Both are very healthy FIV+ kitties.
