For everyone who asked for some advice, here’s something that’s truly helped me. Two powerful books I recommend are Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl and The Choice by Edith Eger. Both authors, who survived the Holocaust and went on to become psychologists, share a common message: finding meaning and helping others—even in small ways—can sustain us through tough times.
Inspired by this, I’ve decided to start providing volunteer therapy to the trans community as a therapist-in-training. I’m currently completing the paperwork, and I’m excited to officially begin next week.
Find an action that resonates with you, and let’s all try to bring kindness into the world.
