Just trying out these Geffel M300 mics. They're pencil condensers but oooohhhh boyyy these are premium sounding.
Excuse my shite playing.
Arranged so one is pointing at around the 14th fret, the other at the bridge. Panned left and right. Bridge is a little darker due to position. Together its balanced out sweetly.
This is in my untreated bedroom. I'm just sat on the bed, bed is centre, mics are about 3 feet from the wall in front of me.
I need to put on some new strings, too. These are about 7 years old now. Guitar will take old strings though due to it being very bright sounding. Mic positioning exaggerates that too.
@elsemusic played around with it again about an hour ago. Different angles and proximities. Havent listened back yet.
@tiredhorizon I have similar mics for acoustic guitar. I find I get the best result using a Gershon array (coincident at 120 degrees) pointing at the neck at the point where it meets the body.
@elsemusic I've a couple of 414s I want to arrange in Blumlein (had to look up the spelling) even in my shitty room
