The XMPP Software Foundation has published an open letter to Meta, asking them to support true messaging interoperability using the XMPP protocol.
Meta had previously integrated this protocol, and WhatsApp is actually built on XMPP for its message routing system.
We support this initiative as it represents the best approach for genuine interoperability. Federation is the way to go !

After 2 weeks of fiddling with #rust in my spare time, my code finally can play wav file via #FreeBSD OSS. Here's the shortest example of how to do that that I figured out: https://github.com/mekanix/oss
Note I'm new to the language and I probably didn't write the best code. For explanation how ioctl works in rust, I wrote a short blog post: https://meka.rs/blog/2025/03/18/rust-and-ioctl/.
My next endevour will be to figure out how to combine the code that I have with https://docs.rs/dasp/latest/dasp/ and https://book.vizia.dev/ to build the simple DAW. After that, I need to figure out how mmap mode works. Oh what fun!

To automatically remove deleted remote git branches at git pull, here is the configuration you need:
```
git config remote.origin.prune true
```
This is not the default but it's very useful. I've been using it for years at work without knowing it wasn't the default behavior, until I started to use git at home outside of my own repositories.
