Three-plus hours digging, weeding, pruning, and doing general cleanup work today. A lovely day to be outside, and my hands and forearms are very aware that I haven't done this since last year, thankyouverymuch. #gardening
@ShellPeters well this was our first warm day with snow mostly melted - so I raked pine #needles. I put them in a pile to sit for one year - I will #shred them first and #compost them with grass.
Raking today and composting in over a year from now. That is what I like about #gardening. It is a long #cycle.
@mammut @ShellPeters keep everything you can, shred everything, store everything, and it pays dividends a year or two later.
I like that for once, you are using the inexorable passage of time, death and decay to provide you with something valuable.
