Horrified and heartbroken at the barrage of attacks by Hamas upon civilians in Israel. Innocent people suffer the consequences of violent extremism, and this kind of terrorism only produces deeper, more intractable problems. My thoughts and hopes are for peace, and for democracy for all people in the region, but such a future is proving ever more elusive, I fear.
@georgetakei look, i usually like what you say in general. But mentioning Hamas attacks without also mentioning both Israeli retaliation AND the unprovoked actions Israel takes everyday on the very real genocidal plan they have for Palestine is disingenuous at best. Hamas might be terrorists, but they are fighting for the survival of all Palestinians. Israel is fighting for more land, they are not the same.
@lonerfanatic @georgetakei yes and, murdering civilians is not the way Palestine wins anything, and therefore is ALSO BAD. Don't make excuses for murder
@magnesium @georgetakei ah! My first reply guy of the day! I did not make excuses for murder, i merely stated that pointing out murder on one side without the other is bad and even worse when one side, however misguided, is fighting for survival while the other is just colonialists grabbing more land. Thanks for playing!
@lonerfanatic @magnesium @georgetakei Israel left Gaza which it occupied until 2005, only to be hit by even more violent attacks from Gaza.
Israel has not taken any land from Gaza, yet this massacre of hundreds of civilians elicits no response from you except justifying their hatred
@magnesium @georgetakei and there's the block you were begging for you lying piece of shit. Sure they gave back some small percentage of land they stole but then continued to steal land, even now today. Right this second people are being displaced. I'm not antisemitic for pointing out apartheid conditions, but you are almost certainly racist yourself or at least an apologist which I don't care to split hairs about rn. Have a day, bootlicker.
