In 2024, it appears facts are increasingly irrelevant as voters rely instead on “vibes" to judge their politics. There is a disturbing disconnect between objective reality and how voters feel, which is driving Trump's strength in the polls. In today's Big Picture, writer Todd Beeton digs into the root of this disconnect and explores how Biden can get facts and feelings back into alignment ahead of November. https://thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p/vibes-2024-election-trump-biden
@georgetakei Unfortunately I feel like you could say kind of the same thing in reverse: the Biden campaign seems to be relying on "vibes" that the polls are off. I'm worried that Biden is genuinely losing and his campaign is ignoring the warning signs because they're inconvenient. Making things worse, this whole "blame the voters" angle has a very 2016 feel to it...
@jsonstache @georgetakei I doubt his campaign is ignoring. There’s something about Biden that suggests he doesn’t listen to those around him. I am not American and won’t comment on domestic matters, but he’s been a PR disaster for the USA.
