I don't understand why humans return gifts. Socks, sure. But democracy?!?

@godpod

Gifted to us, by our human family.

Treated like socks, by the god-believers.

@godpod

Look, when you let that Saul guy take over, that's when you set up that precedent.

@theogrin@chaosfem.tw @godpod@universeodon.com What about that Cain guy? Or replacing Lilith with Eve? This thing was botched from the start.

@theogrin @godpod and that was asked for by the people, or at least, the leaders of that time.

@godpod Change your expression--you look stupid--everyone Knows God isn't stupid.

@godpod We humans have already returned one gift, God. It's a society without bosses, monarchs and superiors. Certainly, many indigenous peoples, for example on the American continent, wanted to keep the gift. But they were out of luck because the whites had better guns.

@godpod Democracy as a gift? Let's not forget those who fought to overthrow feudalism, monarchies and dictatorships.

@godpod
Democracy's not even a gift — it's something we fought hard for. 😱

@godpod

Well…

„The mother of stupidity is always pregnant“ (Ethiopian).

MAGAs, as an example:

@godpod I would return a first-past-the-post democracy with two right-wing parties that both have their campaigns sponsored by the same billionaires any time.

@godpod

the trouble (and irony) with democracy is that it allows stupid people to vote against it
