@georgetakei Well, she's white alright but she sure ain't no lady.
This is a photo of Elizabeth Eckford, one of the Little Rock nine and Hazel Bryan shouting racial slurs at her.
She did change her stance on integration and did work to improve. There was a reconciliation attempt but it didn’t seem to have worked.
@jens Public shaming does work, however, as shown by Hazel Bryan's '#evolution' after she was photographed exuding hate for her fellow #American citizens based on the color of their skin.

@ChemicalEyeGuy @jens You make a good point.
@georgetakei Just learned she was only 15 at the time of the photo - wow. Kids don’t start out racist, they acquire it from family and friends and other toxic people. I’m glad to see she did some good in later life. Sadly I don’t think many of those spouting hate now care what they look like in photos, or have managed any self-reflection.
@georgetakei
Funny, wasn't she a guest speaker @ the CPAC, 'meet your racist neighbor' rally?
@georgetakei “During the time after Little Rock, Hazel had become increasingly political, branching out into peace activism and social work. David Margolick discovered, "She taught mothering skills to unmarried black women, and took underprivileged black teenagers on field trips.”
