@georgetakei
Not necessarily a health nut, might be working in the bottled water business.
@georgetakei Proof that it isn't health or safety they are concerned with. It's having something to be outraged about.
Well I'm sure they have a serious concern about the dangers of "fluorosis" -- the slight discoloration of your teeth that can be caused by fluoride.
.
Looks like she's texting while driving, too. Real safety conscious, that one.
@Professor_Stevens @georgetakei that would put zero hands on the controls of a large dangerous machine...
@BryanLastRedDrop @georgetakei
And zero eyes on the road.
@georgetakei Lol. The dirtiest non-rewarding habit known to man...
@georgetakei
My wife is a dentist and has to deal with fluoride conspiracy idiots every day...
@georgetakei Or just a nut?
@georgetakei wasn’t there some nut job movement out there claiming that smoking is actually supposed to be healthy and all the science claiming it’s really not is somehow just big pharma ensuring that people stay unhealthy or some junk like that? If she’s part of that crowd, this kinda fits.
@georgetakei Classic. And it looks like they're on their phone, too.
@georgetakei in England the city of Birmingham's water supply was flouridated since maybe 1950. The city's dental school had to take it's students outside the water supply area in order to let them gain experience of treating dental decay as the incidence in the city was almost non existent.
@georgetakei Ironic, true, but again misinformation. Fluoride is poisonous but Stannous fluoride is not poisonous. That is what is in water and toothpaste. Cigarettes are directly poisonous and carcinogenic
@Frogeye61 Exactly. People just don't understand basic chemistry. Common table salt is composed of two elements, sodium and chlorine, either of which alone would kill you if you ingested it.
@wesdym Yes, understandable when chemistry is nonlinear as compared to mechanics, and confusing when chemical names are truncated, but deliberate misinformation is really inexcusable
@georgetakei
Like the baby on board types, who are some of the most hazardous to be around.
@samiamsam
"Ya see here, Joe Biden doesn't want yous to know that an'arctica is just an ice wall, because that's where him and Oh-bama have been hidin' the giant nephilim army they've been amassin'."
*Takes drag of smoke*
"The fluoride keeps people from being able to afford to go theres 'cause they can't go to college."
@DavBot @georgetakei lol, and the whole time his wife was nailing somebody else.
@georgetakei@universeodon.com
General "precious bodily fluids" smoked, too: maybe this is part of a bit?
To coin a phrase, "Oh my!"
@georgetakei He knows, of course, that there are - what - 600 ingredients, 4000 chemicals, in a cigarette?
It's not whether it's poisonous or not, it's that 'they' are putting it in the water, so her liberty is being infringed upon.
She likes to be selective about how he slowly kills herself
@georgetakei Could be worse, I know a girl who smokes and is so concerned about air pollution that she bought an expensive air purifier.
I’ve often thought that if fluoridation of drinking water had not been proposed in the last century, it would have been defeated; my kids cudda grown up with teeth like mine that needed fillings in every molar.
@georgetakei I have an acquaintance in my social circles who *smokes* and who also goes to a health food store every week to fill up some huge bottles with "reverse osmosis water".
She does fully acknowledge that on a rational level it makes no sense. She also has a tougher time finding dates because she smokes.
I think for maybe quitting smoking is very hard and she isn't up for it.
@georgetakei Also driving a SUV ...
Their body is a temple.
@georgetakei
Where did the phrase 'Oh, the irony' come from. We use it .. But why do we use it..
