@georgetakei the perfect dad joke exists!
@kaitou @georgetakei in this context, that means "funny" and not "interesting" right?
@Lulukaros @georgetakei
Yes. Funny or amusing.
@georgetakei Uhh, that's good :)
@georgetakei
Haiku, aka three-liner, is probably the operative word here.
@georgetakei proposed alt text:
Knock knock!!!
Who's there?
Hike.
Hike who?
Unsuspecting son.
Dad waiting with bated breath.
Sets the perfect trap.
@dr2chase @georgetakei I tried this on my mid-30's son just now. He replied:
"Cute. But no reference to the seasons, so not a haiku "
@georgetakei Oh man, this is going into my permanent archives.
@georgetakei can someone explain the joke
'Hike who?' sounds like haiku which is a type of short form poetry from Japan.
@Lulukaros @georgetakei "Hike who" sounds like "haiku", and the dad's final reply is a haiku (albeit one without a seasonal reference)
@georgetakei
I am just taking a moment to appreciate a dad who baits his joke but, not his breath :-)
A haiku must contain an observation of the natural world. This is not a haiku.
