I am no lawyer, but telling a witness who is supposed to testify before a grand jury in your case tomorrow that he “shouldn’t” is obstruction of justice. It's witness tampering. And that’s a crime that can get added to all the others.
@georgetakei
judge won't like that
He's getting in his last licks, before the appurtenant indictment, with the restraints added.
@georgetakei Are you surprised by this? Trump is a stain on this planet. As a born and bred New Yorker, we knew this. It's a shame half the country didn't listen.
@georgetakei she warned him not to do that, which is ridiculous in itself.
And what he did now was contempt of court. Starting the timer for when he gets an orange jumpsuit and his phone taken away.
@MaryPot @geographile @georgetakei It's long overdue!
@georgetakei
Wow. Does he have some kind of demented "Crime every crime and piss off every judge" bingo card he's trying to fill out? No, it must be that he's working on a one-size-fits-all insanity defense.
It's a miracle anyone can be that stupid and not have their head simply implode.
He's not insane.
He IS a psychopath.
He IS stupid.
He IS playing with fire and thinks he is going to get away with it now. I suspect he won't. And I will have a party all the way over here in Norway the day he is locked up with a nice orange jumpsuit and no phone!
@MaryPot @georgetakei
I will party like a demon the day he reports to prison.
@MaryPot @n1xnx @georgetakei
I am gonna join your party from over here in Germany and pour myself a nice whisky to celebrate.
@georgetakei Pre-trial detention?
My guess is just taking his social media away is the worst he's get. Then he'll threaten on the stump then it'll get interesting.
@bigolewannabe @prettyhuman @georgetakei not if he is confined to that dump in FL with an ankle monitor
@georgetakei Well, in his defense, I was in a band called “Nasty Disaster”!
@georgetakei we can be sure they are looking into that with the question: did he write it, or who was ordered to do so.
@georgetakei people got sentenced for that shit.
@cynblogger
This sort of overheated response is just what Trump is trying to provoke. Thankfully, Merrick Garland appointed a prosecutor who won't fall for that shit. Another bad day for the "where are the consequences" people.
@georgetakei This is, in fact just plain free speech. He isn't threatening him. He's merely pointing out that he shouldn't testify (because he's scared about what he'll say no bout). But he doesn't actually say anything that would constitute intimidation or obstruction. Donald is dumb, but he has plenty of practice about what he can and cannot say.
He'll get his day in court (4 or 5 different courts). And it will be both sad and glorius.
He names names and knows that is enough to set off his "fans". "You shouldn't testify" is threatening enough when the person you are writing that to knows you have crazies hanging on every word you type and ready to do anything you ask.
@MaryPot @georgetakei Sadly, that would not rise to the level of intimidation. He has every right to his ridiculously stupid opinion. Saying "I will send someone after you" or "I will ruin your life" would work, and yes, reading between the words that's exactly what he is doing. But there's no legal case for it. I don't want folks thrown in jail for this type of stuff. I want them thrown in jail for the ACTUAL illegal stuff he did.
I may be remembering incorrectly, but I think the judge specified something about posting names and naming witnesses in her order.
@MaryPot @georgetakei Different case (that's the DC case by Smith/Feds). Stuff he's saying here is regarding Georgia which has made no such rulings (yet). Probably will, however.
There is stuff he said about the DC case that is getting very close to crossing the line (if it hasn't already), and the Judge there is going to not take it lightly. Which I applaud.
@improperyour @georgetakei
It's not witness intimidation, but he is publicly calling into question the credibility of a witness, before they appear in a trial.
I'm would expect laws protecting witnesses cover that. but even if they don't, he was specifically instructed not to attempt this kind of crap , by a jusge
@georgetakei I'm no lawyer either, but if that isn't Witness Tampering then I'm the President of the United States....
@georgetakei Lock him tf up.
Could we just stop reposting his noise.
@georgetakei Doing so many crimes so fast no prosecutor could ever put together complete case before judge, is weird tactic to avoid prison time.
I wish I could say it won't work, but it's in USA and after past few years I have no trust in sanity of its institutions and their workings.
@fionor
With a side quest of: ”do such an inconcievable amount of crimes, your supporters will never fathom anyone ever committing all of those, so you’ll just appear endlessly persecuted.”
@georgetakei
First few words are lies...don't think he knows how to read.
@georgetakei It’s not a crime if you’re a rich white man.
@georgetakei Every time we wonder if he could really be that stupid, he says "why yes, yes I am!".
@georgetakei
... and it can prevent bail.
@georgetakei This Orange shit stain RAPIST grifter needs to be locked the F up!!!!!!!
@georgetakei His lawyers better have made sure they were pid upmfront.
@georgetakei He just came out after his testimony and SLAMMED Trump. "Worst candidate ever."
@georgetakei@universeodon. "I barely knew him .... blah, blah, blah ..... witch hunt..... blah blah blah....Election fraud .... perfect call........
@georgetakei Nasty Disaster sounds like a fun band name.
@georgetakei
“I am reading”
@georgetakei Also should get his bail revoked
@georgetakei ChatGPT4: "Does Georgia still have the death penalty?"
@georgetakei if the Georgia Court indicts him for witness tampering the DC judge can retain him for committing a state crime. That was a condition of his release. He might be locked up even before any trial gets underway.
@georgetakei can’t get it why he thinks it matters if he endorsed the witness or not LOL. Does he think himself in The Apprentice?
@georgetakei
Can't stop, won't stop, crime-ing.
