Rod Faulkner

Hi Everyone! My name is Rod and I’m a lifelong lover of sci-fi and fantasy. My website The7thMatrix.com contains a collection of indie, SFF short films. My podcast, EYE ON SCI-FI, is where I talk about indie sci-fi shorts, as well as interview indie creators of great speculative media! Looking forward to getting my feet wet in the community!

@eosfpodcast
Any recommendations for stories similar to The Expanse?

@eosfpodcast
I love that series! I haven't read a new one in a while though, so I'll check for a new release. Thanks for the reminder!

@eosfpodcast Welcome, it is a very friendly place to be.

@eosfpodcast

Hi Rod. I've been away from sci-fi reading for, well, a few decades.

I'm a hardcore contemplative (meditator), and enjoyed Herbert's *Dune* and works by William Gibson and Dan Simmons for their incorporation of spiritual experience material and explorations.

Do you have recommendations for current writers in that vein?

many thanks

~ Dave

@bodhidave Hi Dave. Here are a few of my favorite authors in sci-fi right now: N. K. Jemisin ( The Broken Earth Trilogy, 3x Hugo Award-winning series), Octavia Butler, Nalo Hopkinson, and Rivers Solomon. Enjoy!

@eosfpodcast Yes! Another SF podcast! Looking forward to listening to it and checking out your website.

@cautionwip Thank you very much! Hope you enjoy.

@eosfpodcast Huge Sci-Fi fan myself. What’re your favourites? Ever read the Dragon’s Egg/Starquake series?
It’s a pleasure to meet another fellow sci-fi enthusiast :)

@cenobyte I have many favorites too numerous to list. Pleasure to meet you as well!

@eosfpodcast Hey Rod, tried looking for a link to your site but can't find it.

Maybe you will be interested in my short films?

@dilmandila

Sure, if your films are in the sci-fi fantasy genres, I'd be happy to give them a look. Use the link in my bio to contact me.
